Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Chalan ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Alta Soft Tech Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and operating a legitimate business to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Subscription and billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Prices are shown in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued. E-transfer payments are non-refundable once processed.

4. Trial period

New accounts receive a limited free trial. Trial access may be restricted in certain features. At the end of the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes. You may not use the Service to create false or fraudulent documents, evade applicable taxes, or engage in any activity that violates federal, provincial, or local law.

Misuse of automated features, including flooding or exploiting system resources, may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Your data

You retain full ownership of all business records and content you create through the Service. We do not claim any rights to your data. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.

7. No professional advice

The Service provides tools and market reference data for informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your tax obligations and compliance with applicable law. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

8. Service availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or suspend the Service for operational reasons. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, tax penalties, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time. Upon closure, you may export your data within 30 days before it is permanently deleted.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email at least 15 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
